We all at home and angel enjoyed her bday party a lot. Like last year angel didn’t sleep this time too during day and I was worried whether she will be awake till night or not. She was very happy from morning and was very gracefully accepting all wishes personally as well as on phones. We went to ashram in morning . In evening my family and all close relatives and frens came. We thought of doing good decoration but I havent decorated house in ages for bday so was not pretty sure how to go abt it. So I did very simple decoration with lots of balloons and traditional Happy Bday Poster. Angel played well with kids and they have blast with lots of balloons. I ordered food from outside so there was not much hassle. Overall nice party. Leaving you with pic of cake. More pics will be soon uploaded to FB.

Angel – Post 1
Whenever we start something new, something fresh and vibrant..something which gives us joy…we tend to think of person who has brought so much joy in our life..For me that person is my lovely daughter Angel….As this is my first post for BLOG MARATHON so I will write about Angel only 
She will be 2yrs old this month…Yes her birthday is coming soooooooon.( 13th May) and I am super excited about it…This time it will not be grand party like last time as last time angel cried a lot with so much hustle bustle and no. of guests trying to hold her and give kisses and muhas and all that… I have planned to do it simple with my family and my SIL’s family. Brough lovely purple gown for my sweetie pie …Purple seems so in color these days…everytime I go shopping for her…I tend to buy different shades of purple only
As she has to go to school in July so I thought of teaching her about school. I always shows her neighbour hood kids getting ready for school…going to school in their school bus. She seems to like this a lot….And now a days whenever I come to home from office…the first thing which she said to me is ” Mumma I went to school….there was teacher there and I studied book…and I said Good morning Maam” …U can presume my jaw touching the gound 
I told all this abt school in bits and pieces but never imagine she will make complete, proper story out of it…and this is not only one instance..daily she tell me some thing which she has not done actually…like ” Mumma monkey came home..I gave him apple” or like “Monkey came home and ate onion and potatoes”
It seems a budding writer is at my home…… I will be so happy if she become writer/journalist
I take her to park everyday and she love this 30-45 mins of her day when she is free to play in vast boundaries..near to nature and with lots of other kids ..Currently she is fond of her bat and ball and take it everyday to park.
She also quite fond of coloring. I gave her different type of colors and one color set doest last more that a week..but it gives her so much pleasure, making lines with colors…saying A to anything she wrote /scribble and then bringing her notebook to us with so much enthu and says mumma see wht I have written..its apple and expect us to clap every time

Cute Vocabulary !!
I use to love toddler language my nephew use to speak when he was 1-2 yrs old. Was waiting eagerly for angel to start speaking such cute language…but from very beginning she speaks most of the word so clear and with perfection.
I never have to listen carefully or stress hard to understand what she wants to convey….Sometime i say short form of word like mum for water but she will say water only It seems from now only she luvs to talk and talk….However last week only I noticed few words ..she say unclear so here goes a list of that
shila ki Jawani - Shila ka paani
I m too sexy – amto secy
chips – pips – I never give this to her…but she picked up word from her frens
choclate - cocklate - Much fav these day
toffee – popi

Now she has also started speaking short sentences like I m going, mumma eating food, papa gone to office …
Today morning she got up early and we had nice discussion…The way she understand things and talk..it gave me feeling as if I m talking to my atleast 6-7yr old daughter…She told me one of cousin came home while I was in office. the she also explained what all her granny serve to cousin…and how she felt mirchi in namkeen and also cousin gave her cocklate 
Then mom was replacing cylinder on first floor..she heard the noise and started saying dadi cylinder bum (finish)…M (started shouting for our servant)…cylinder change….( she tried to give him instruction to change the cylinder)

Mother guilt strikes again !!
angel fell down from computer table today..I was just 3 steps away from her ..still couldn’t prevent falling…Our sofa is just next to comp table and its angel routine to jump from sofa to comp table and pull out things from attached showcase. She is so perfect in this crossing sofa and then standing on table and pulling showcase stuff that i never though she can fall…I always stand next to her whenever she is on table…this time i just turn my face and reaches my laptop just 3 step away and she just jump from sofa to table and fell straight down…
She cried a lot after falling down and i felt terribly bad……i could have save her…Its really bad feeling..
I think this is just terrible 2 age going on..this one to two period where kid can reach more things and find every thing fascinating….I try my level best that she doesn’t fall or get hurt by anything and till now it was going fine….but today it seems plain bad day…
I gave her medicine and she is sleeping ….seems all ok but my mind and heart is crying for my lil girl…..Remembering this when last time when i had same feeling..
Why do kids fall down..she can balance well…its just that she become too excited to see my books on comp table 
..Hope she feels fine after getting up…
sorry folks for my blah blah ….i just wrote this post in hurry to keep my mind occupied while she is sleeping…
Tiny titbits of angel’s world !!
Its been really long that i have written about angel’s milestones or activities. It seems she has changes so much in last 2 months. Suddenly she behaves like a big girl
Independent… -> As I said above she is big girl now and want to do everything on her own which include eating food with her own hand…inbetween i m allowed to put some bytes but mostly she eat with spoon and put 25%food inside and 75% outside . She also like to bath with mug/shower on own..When she is done with playing with mug/soap etc etc i quickly bath her in couple of mins.. she also want to run on road instead of going in her pram when we go for walk.
Naughty :> Naughtiness has increased many folds..I m feeling troublesome 2nd yr with angel U will find her either pulling cds outside from dvd/tv trolley ( Gone are days when she just use to pull things out of drawer in which i use to keep extra stuff or her toys ) , or trying to get on sofa and from there to comp table and standing on comp table throwing things which are on near by showpiece wooden stand Sometime she throw laundry out of laundry box, turn it and start using it like walker and roam around whole house. She is intelligent enough to put it upside down so that i can make more noise.If she keep it straight it wont make sound as it has rubber at bottom .
Extremely Friendly:-> She is very friendly when she saw anybody from distance. Dont think that she will go to you easily on first meeting …she like to maintain some distance ..or better say her own space With Mil she spend lot of time standing in balcony and calling all neighbours. Because of angel i know lot of neighbours with whom i never interact earlier. She is kind of famous in my colony because of her bye bye to everybody and shouting /calling them from roof top .
Love for Utensil :-> She is perfect girlie in terms of luv for kitchen/utensils..We have one utensil stand which is kept on kitchen floor in addition to modular shelves. Now her fav timepass during noon is to bring utensil one by one out to dining hall and also put them back again After finishing one or two round with utensile ..she start bringing potato/tomato or other veggie which is kept in near by stand
My Mil & FIL stays on first floor and we are at ground floor…So when angel is enjoying her evening balcony time with mil she bring utensil either from kitchen or some time her own bottle /feeding bowl and throws from first floor to ground..she do same thing with MIL’s sleeper, her toys and any other thing which comes under her reach…To outsider it may sound like there is fight going on between me and MIL :lol:
Angel’s fav words :-> from last one month or so she started saying “ba” that means bahar ( outside). Whenever she want to go outside she will say ba ba and stretch her arm outside..ITs most funny when she do this immediately after getting in morning with her eyes still half sleepy She also started saying be means bethna ( sit) That means she want us to let her sit on sofa top or on table or any unusual think u can think of . Sometime she picks one word and keep repeating the same whole day like addi for calling her daadi. And these words keeping on changing .
Stroller :-> I brought stroller for her before our manali trip. Later on i felt its waste of money as we hardly used it till few weeks back. One day i put her in stroller and roam inside house only and she slept there….It was Eureka moment for me..What a easy way to get her to sleep. I felt as if i have made a big discovery.. Another mom can understand my excitement of finding easy way of putting ur kid to sleep. After that it become routing habbit to roam inside house most of time in stroller and every time its not for putting her to sleep ..sometime its just for giving some rest to her every running legs…Sigh how much she walk/run inside house….
Am i same mom who use to wait just 3months back when my daughter will start walking…and now i think omg when she will sit for few mins/seconds She sit with utmost pride and her face smile like she is princess taking ride of her kingdom
Understanding :-> She mostly understand what we want to convey to her..Like sometime to keep her busy i say ” Nanu go to store room and bring your toybox” she will immediately run toward store and bring the toy box. Empty it play with it for 2-5 mins . I m also trying to teach her to put things back. Whenever i saw put the toys back in box. She will put one or two inside and then quickly put the lid. Then i show her that they are still lot of toys outside..and open the lid of box..then she will put two three more inside and put the lid… Always in hurry in finishing her job
Teaching Time :-> Recently i taught her about body parts like where is your nose, where is your eyes and where is your head. She learnt it too quickly . However if HD or anybody else ask her where is your nose..She will run toward me and touch my nose ..so i think my lil daughter feel only her mommy has nose.head and ear and you have to ask her in sequence ..first you shd always ask abt nose otherwise your head will become nose and vice versa
Mundan ceremony !!
The much awaited thing for us was mundan of angel…for some or other reason it kept getting postponed from last 2months. Earlier we planned to go to haridwar for it .however due to death of relative cancelled it. And finally this sunday just in normal conversation i said to hubby to get it done today only in near by Sheetla mata temple..
He readily agreed to it and so does parents. I took lot of pics of angel with her beautiful curly hairs which i would probably not see again. Called sister-in-law to invite her for same and head toward temple around 4:00 PM. We thought due to shivratri there must be rush around temple…but to my surprise it was almost empty..Probably ppl prefer worshipping at home only these days .
Angel sat in HD’s lap and cried a lot while her head was getting shaved off…It was too tough for me to see her crying badly..It was not like that she was in pain…its just that she was indignant at being held by HD and me against her wishes.I try to allure her with eatables but she just kept crying. Person doing the work was quite expert and completed teh whole process in less than 10mins.
We then took angel for bath and also applied some curd on her bare head…I teased her where are ur hairs and she put her hand on head with serious look and said bum ( for angel bum means finish or hidden)
She look like a boy without hairs…while coming back she kept on touching her head to feel the difference and look at me in amusement
Today morning when i finished combing my hairs..she picked up the comb and start enacting if she is using comb on her head…it was ultra cute to see my ganju combing on without hairs head

Birthday Party !!
It was fun to organise bday party for my sweet angel. Birthday blues started on the day she turned 11 month as now countdown begins in terms of days left for d-day
As a habit turned to blog frens for ideas and got lots of them..First one was wish card – I used handmade paper to make this wish card where guest could write their wishes for angel. I used a combination of printed light pink and dark plane pink paper. Here is end result.
I also made video on swaram’s suggestion but couldn’t play it in party.
Venue :-
We went around city and checked 6 different venue and first decided to do it on roof top of one banquet but short space and less possibility of good decoration soon override the idea .finally settled on one in heart of city. Easily reachable for all frens and family. Owner agreed to take care of decoration stuff also. I was not fully confident on him but he really proved his words…He just filled room with balloons and other decorative stuff.
Bday Girl Dress ->
Want to buy something extra special for bday girl so that she should look unique. Again turned to my trusted fren - apna blog samaj :-) and found one shop in mall near to my home through this -> http://www.mummyknowsbest.com/ . Brought white color long frock with white hairband like christians bride use to wear.
Programme :->
Party time was decided to be 7:00 PM till 11:00 PM. No party is happening without dance DJ and music and luckily enough banquet manager also organised DJ too.
Menu :->
Starters -> Paneer Tikka, Manchurian, Spring roll and french fries Main course > Shahi Paneer , Malai Kofta , Dum Aloo , Mix Veg , Rice, Three types of roti , Pasta and Chowmin. Desserts > Icecream and gulabjamun
The Birthday :>
Day started at 7:00 AM with we wishing angel Happy Birthday. We planned to go to aashram so me HD and angel got ready by 8:00 and went there. Angels got lot of blessings and we donated few stuff to needy people there. After coming back from there I clicked few pics of angel and also gifted her walking dog toy. She was just walking and walking and walking whole day. We spent most of the time playing with her during the day.I dont want her to feel tired so give her few drops of medicing so that she can sleep for longer duration. She slept peacefully for next 2hrs which is much more than her normal afternoon nap.
My parents came around 6:30 PM and we headed toward party venue. Angel was outfitted in white satton frock, white socks and matching shoes, silver bangles and pink necklace.
Hall was well decorated with baloons ( pink white and purple ) and ribbons. Almost everybody turned on for party despite of it been on working day. Angel got lot of compliments like choo chweet, cute, looking like princess, smiley face etc. Angel seems quite happy with all the compliments and attention she was getting . I asked photographer to click snaps quickly before everybody comes in coz angel was fresh and was givng good pose to him
We were waiting for one relative family so cake cutting was bit delayed then planned and angel was feeling sleepy at 9:00 but when everybody gathered at cake table she just started smiling again. White and silver glitter was shovered from balloon. Angel loved the cake too. She took it from almost everybody’s hand :-) DJ was in fulll swing and everybody enjoyed dancing and music.
By 9:30 angel started crying loudly. She ws too tired by going into different hands and whole photo taking sessions.. She litterally become uncontrollable for few mins. I took her outside and she slept in few mins.
Dinner started at 10:00 and food was much appreciated by guests. It felt good to hear that everybody enjoyed the party and angel got lots of gifts too
Thereafter
We came back home at 12:00 and angel got up the moment we reach home . She was so fresh and want to play with her gifts. I was more excited then her to open all gifts Rememberd my childhood when i use to wait for party to over so that i can open gifts .. While we were opening gifts angel was busy playing with wrapers. By this time you all must know how much she loved gift boxes and wrappers ..She was least interestd in actual gift.
She got everything double like two cycle , two chair, two play table etc and lot of lovely dresses too
Finally she slept at 1:30 and i felt relaxed and happy as all went really well.
first few steps
16th April 2010 Time : 6:30 PM Place – Sweet home
Angel and mom playing with toys and other blocks. Mumma made beautiful peacock with blocks and show it to angel . Angel feel attracted toward red and green color peacock and ran toward mumma…
Grandmom and mom both become speechless and just couldn’t beleive their eyes….Was it so easy..she just walk or better say run instantly…and mumma was worrying whether angel will walk before 1st bday or not..
Yes you heard it correct…she took her first 4 steps . I want her to walk before her bday desperately..Was doing daily oil massage and also use to let her walk with the help of Stand.
Now she didn’t stated walking properly.. after those first step she walk by holding my finger but hopefully she will start running in house soon ..before her bday ..yipee
One other thing she started doing religiosly is saying yes. What ever i say..she will reply yes by shaking her head continously..like
Its so much fun to see her nodding her head almost every hour..
This weekend is dedicated to shopping for her bday party…More updates coming in next post. Stay tuned :lol:
And thanks to GNSD for giving idea of birthday wishes from guest on cards ….I m making hand made card and will distribute to guest so that they can write few lines for angel…. I m sure she will luv seeing these cards in later years….
