This is not book review….there is more to it.
I picked up this book just on my instinct from flipkart and also coz price was too less 🙂 But due to busy schedule it kept lying in my bookshelf for more than a month . Last week I was bored with idiot box..as nothing good was coming ..so picked up this book.
Story started with guy name “Ravinder” who is software engineer and working with infosys and looking for perfect match through most common channel of geeks – Shaadi.com. Soon he find luv of his life Khushi and stayed in touch with her through phone only without seeing her. After few months they met and get ok from family side to get married soon….Pretty normal like any other luv story.
But there comes twist in tale. Khushi met with accident just two days before her engagement. This news unfold in last section of book…hardly 15pages left….but in those 15 pages i got bigger shock
From lot of facts mentioned below…I just recollect I know Khushi.. …We shared cab for 5-6 days …there were so many facts similar in my colleague Khushi and this khushi mentioned in books
Like
- Accident two days before engagement
- Date of engagement 14th Feb 2007
- House near to one of famous hotel of city ( Name of hotel is mentioned in book)
- She shifted one week before accident from emea to NA ( night shift ) shift and accident happened while coming back from work at 5:00 AM
- City where she lives and where she works
- Religion – Punjabi sardaar
- Hospital name she stayed in first and after few days move to next hospital.
- She got multiple fracture in her jaw and that was main cause of her death
- She was sitting at back seat next to driver….driver died on spot and person next to driver was safe and car hit truck from one side.
- Blood was arranged from company where she works by sending mail to all employees
- And above all name
All the above mentioned things are same with my colleague and girl mentioned in book. At the time of death she was kind of hi-hello fren….I felt bad at news of her death but now after reading book…after reading all her emotions and splly abt Ravinder….what he must be going through…I felt terrible. It was big shock for me to read about someone i knew in real….

Yes it was very shocking and I realise this only when book was almost ended ..precisely in last 10 pages…
Why dont you try contacting the author ? I am sure there would be several ways to do that !
There are several ways to contact but just wondering what i will wite and what purpose it will solve…
It may be more torture for him…if i remind him of incident and bring him back to memories..he must be running away..
This is such a coincidence, and such a small and knit world. Very sorry to hear about Khushi’s story. That must be devastating to Ravinder.

Oh god.. its so sad what happened to your collegue… and it is much sadder for the people who are left behind. Maybe thats why he let his feelings out in the novel. Hope he is doing fine now.

Though i do feel talking to him …but what i wil write is the main question…and I met khushi just few days before her death..that too 2-3 times in cab..thats it..
Something similar happened to me once. One of my closest friend expired in a road accident and somehow, people around me could not communicate it to me for an hour or so. I was just surfing thru the news on the web when I read about a bus accident, in which 5 employees of Infosys expired. My friend’s name was among them. I was shell shocked. I really dont have words for the feelings I went through.
Please do take care and what more can I say – Somethings are beyond us. Way beyond.
Its sad to hear bad news in this way….I can understnd what you must have felt after seeing ur fren name in death list..

I checked with my husband he was in Software div and I think Khushi was in BPO div. But I felt very bad for Kushi and Ravin as you can relate to them, I wish they could have married and lived a happy normal life.

There was mail from HR after her accident asking for blood donation. Also when ever somebody die during office hours ( through office cab accident) HR sent condolence mail to whole organisation.

Hi Rashmi, last week my friend gift me a novel’i too had a love story, i finished it today. Its a heart touching true story. But y one meets,when dat person has to go. After reading this,many devastating thoughts r cornering my mind. Nd dat incident of khusi’s death must be killing ravin from inside. Lastly, if u love some one true, or some one loves u alot, thn dat spiritual experience doz happens. May khusi rests in peace and have got a good new life. Wish dis fate doesnot happens wid anyone. Its a killing one.

hi…swapnil and priya…i agree with you both, priya correctly said no father would allow a guy to publish private moments of her late daughter, secondly i want to mention if u’ll haven’t noticed it by any chance…Mrs. Rashmi in one of her post above mentioned that she don’t remember khushi’s face, and now when you (priya) said that you have khushi’s pic Mrs. Rashmi suddenly remembered khushi’s face VERY CLEARLY. There is surely some thing unusual about this story, and again someone or the other would have came forward with some inputs on khushi. Truth can be found out if khushi’s family still living in faridabad. and priya i request u to plz upload khushi’s pic so we all can see her, and good work priya. waiting for the picture.

Hi Megha.. I too noticed that, its really very strange. I would like you and all other to check few things from the book (I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY) the day when they shifted KHUSHI to Apollo Hospital, RAVIN clearly mentioned that it was “MAHAVIR JAYANTI” that day, but if you Google the date of Mahavir Jaynti in 2007 it was on March 31st. Where as KHUSHI’S accident took place 2 days before engagement (14th feb 2007). So if we count the days it was more than a month and i don’t think it match the story.

Hello !… Like every 1 above, i too tried my level best to search for Khushi. All i was able to find uu guys… with hole lot of thoughts and comments. Which actually changed my mind. Love is still in the air. Though i don’t know Khushi, neither i know Ravin or any of his or her friends or any1 close to dem. I only know dem through dis book. All i want to say is, Ravin had written dis story, there musttt… be an inspiration, there must be reality, if not all.

Great to see faces to some of the characters in the novel..I was left disturbed after reading the novel. I too was going through google to see if I could find anything about the accident, but no, there is nothing. Even the family members do not have any pictures of Khushi..

“I too had a love story” is 100% pure. Just like u all, i too doubt on it. But after searchin a lot, abt khusi i came in contact with his sisters on fb. It is hard to talk with her, as she dn’t wanna want to talk on this. And she got a frnd named kamaljeet singh on fb. May b she would help.
